Mr. Giguère has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval, as well as a College Preparatory Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He began his engineering career in 1996. He has worked in the fields of mining, petrochemicals, industrial equipment manufacturing, semi-trailers manufacturing, mining and construction. He then specialized in heavy industrial machinery, electricity, automation processes, hydraulics, industrial manufacturing processes and health and safety measures.
Mr. Giguère performs investigations in this great variety of fields since 2002.
He also conducted expertise on sprinklers, alarms, ventilation and heating systems (electrical, solid fuel, gas and fuel oil). Mr. Giguère completed several specialized training courses, earning the subsequent titles: Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (NAFI-CFEI), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (NAFI-CVFI). He also took the vocational degree in Gas Apparatus Category 1 (TAG 1), the course on Solid Fuel Heating (APC) and many training on the Canadian Electrical Code.
He testifies as an expert witness in court of law.
