Émile Lamoureux, CEP

A recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, Émile has developed expertise in mechanical design, finite element analysis, and in manufacturing process optimization through his university projects and industrial experience. His background enables him to tackle technical challenges with a rigorous, analytical approach focused on identifying root causes.

Before joining Origin, Émile completed a mechanical engineering internship at TLD Canada as part of the production team. There, he contributed to improving manufacturing processes for aerospace equipment by designing tooling in SolidWorks, optimizing assembly methods, and participating in the implementation of continuous improvement practices.

As part of his education, he also completed several design projects, including the development of a modular cart for transporting and lifting aircraft landing gear—validated through finite element analysis—as well as a multidisciplinary project focusing on structural engineering, stormwater management, and the integration of sustainable development strategies.

In forensic practice, Émile draws on his critical thinking skills, his mastery of design and simulation tools, and his expertise in mechanical analysis to examine failures, determine their causes, and support technical expert reports.
