Rémi Charbonneau, P.Eng.

With over 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering, Rémi is a multidisciplinary expert with a thirst for knowledge who leads investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires.

Thanks to the knowledge he has acquired throughout his academic and professional career, Rémi is able to combine his experience in engineering, research and development, and the management of mechanical testing laboratories.

The industrial expertise he has developed through his various work experiences lies primarily in mechanical design, the development of automated industrial processes, product qualification and certification, and the maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Having joined the Origin team in 2021, he leads technical investigations as a fire expert, which allow him to refine his conclusions and distinguish himself in the field.
