Mr. Poupart has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a master’s degree in Construction Engineering from Université du Québec (ÉTS).

Since 1995, he supervised various projects of construction and application of composite materials. He mainly conducted expertise in the field of construction defects, building failure , water system failure, fire-damaged building structure and code building compliance.

During his master’s studies, he published his thesis entitled : Auscultation of fire-damaged buildings guide for the expert witness – elaboration of an adapted method.

For more than seventeen years, he has worked in the field of claims expertise, particularly in the determination of the cause of loss (fire damage extent, soil movement, structures, foundations, plumbing, drainage systems, etc.).

More recently, he worked as an expert consultant specializing in the science of the building.
