Ms. Dicaire has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Université de Montréal. In her first job as a chemist, Ms. Dicaire worked for a contract research organization (CRO) developing analytical methods and analyzing samples from international pharmaceutical companies.

She then joined Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de médecine légale (LSJML), working as a chemist and an expert in fire and explosion investigation. As such, she assisted the justice system in many arson cases, gaining through them a solid expertise in the analysis of accelerants.

She was responsible for the development and for the scientific research of the traces division of Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de médecine légale. In this regard, she collaborated in the publication of several studies.

Ms. Dicaire completed several specialized training courses, earning the subsequent title of Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (NAFI-CFEI).
