An experienced mechanical engineer, René worked for several years in the recreational vehicle, transportation, and home appliance industries before beginning his career as a technical investigator.

Combining the knowledge he gained in the industrial sector with his background in mechanical engineering, he possesses strong analytical and synthesis skills that he applies to technical investigations involving both fire and mechanical issues. Having joined Origin in 2010, he is particularly interested in the failures of various residential and industrial appliances involved in fire incidents. He serves as an expert witness in court.
